A court decision doesn’t always mean the end of your case. If a ruling was based on legal errors, misconduct, or misinterpretation of the law, you may have grounds for an appeal. We help clients in Little Rock, Benton, Conway, Hot Springs, and across Arkansas challenge court decisions in civil and criminal cases, ensuring that every legal option is explored.
Challenging unfair rulings in contract disputes, business cases, and civil lawsuits.
Fighting wrongful convictions, excessive sentencing, and legal errors in Arkansas criminal cases.
Appealing cases affected by misapplied laws, improper procedures, or constitutional violations.
Seeking a second review when new evidence could change the outcome of a case.
Challenging excessive sentencing to pursue fair and just penalties.
Exploring additional legal remedies beyond appeals, such as expungements and habeas corpus petitions.
Appeals are based on legal errors, misconduct, new evidence, or violations of constitutional rights. We analyze trial records to determine if mistakes justify an appeal.
In Arkansas, you must file a Notice of Appeal with the trial court within thirty days of entry of the final judgment. After you file a Notice, you then have ninety days to lodge the record and transcript with the Court of Appeals. You then have to submit your brief detailing what you believe the trial court did incorrectly.
Generally, appeals focus on errors in the original trial, but some cases allow new evidence if it could significantly impact the outcome.
If an appeal is denied, further options may be available, such as seeking post-conviction relief or filing with a higher court.
Appeals require a different legal approach than trials, so working with an attorney experienced in appellate law increases the chances of success–we can help.
An appeal isn’t just about retrying a case—it’s about correcting legal mistakes and ensuring fair outcomes. We bring in-depth knowledge of appellate law, a detail-oriented approach, and a commitment to uncovering errors that could change the result of your case. Whether challenging a civil judgment or criminal conviction, we fight for justice at every level of the Arkansas court system.
